Rise and Blossom is a charity designed to tackle and combat the injustices faced by disabled people (vulnerable people living with physical disabilities) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

As a charity our main focus is to bring about long lasting impactful change, that allows for as much as possible to create a semblance of equal opportunity, by creating, providing & helping physically disabled citizens to access education, financial & medical resources, as well looking to challenge the social & political disparities that allow for the neglect of these DRC’s citizens to exist at its current state.

The CEO of RAB, Mrs Kanku Coco Ndiadia found her inspiration from her vocational job and career. She is a Registered Nurse , practicing within the NHS since 2010 in diverse specialities, Mrs KCN has worked as a ward sister in a Trauma, Orthopaedic and Plastic ward in London from 2016-2019, where she has to nurse patients who sadly lost their limb or sight following trauma. Holistic care of these patients involved physical and psychological input during their hospitalisation and aftercare in the community. The physical and mental rehabilitation is a focus in patient centred care philosophy in view to empower patients, help them to continue to be useful to oneself and society and to maximise their potential. Therefore Mrs KCN believes in transferring her skills, knowledge and vocation in supporting the same population in the DRC and created RISE AND BLOSSOM CHARITY in September 2019.
